Dixie Youth Soccer League (DXYCL) is a premier youth soccer organization committed to providing a professional, competitive, and dynamic tournament experience. Our league fosters skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship while offering a structured platform for young athletes to showcase their talent and reach their full potential.

The Houston City Cup will be played over multiple weekends through April and May. Each team is competing to advance to the Houston City Cup Finals May 3-4 or May 10-11 and be crowned Champions!
Tournament Schedule
DXYCL hosts four professionally organized youth soccer tournaments annually, all held over weekends to accommodate families and school schedules.
Our upcoming tournament is scheduled for May 30–31, 2025 (Saturday & Sunday).
Registration opens on April 1, 2025, and closes on May 15, 2025. Early registration is strongly encouraged as spots are limited and in high demand.
All DXYCL tournaments are designed to deliver a competitive and development-focused experience in a fun, safe, and professional environment.
Tournament Format
DXYCL tournaments are structured for weekend-only competition, with all matches played on Saturday and Sunday. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three matches, followed by playoffs or finals depending on bracket size.
Game Format & Duration by Age Group (USSF Guidelines):
U9/U10 (7v7):
Match Duration: 2 x 25-minute halves
Halftime: 5 minutes
Format: 7 players per side, including the goalkeeper
Substitutions: Unlimited (can occur at stoppages, with no interruption to play)
U10/U11/U12 (9v9):
Match Duration: 2 x 30-minute halves
Halftime: 5 minutes
Format: 9 players per side, including the goalkeeper
Substitutions: Unlimited (can occur at stoppages, with no interruption to play)
U12/U13/U14/U15 (11v11):
Match Duration: 2 x 35-minute halves
Halftime: 10 minutes
Format: 11 players per side, including the goalkeeper
Substitutions: Typically 3–5 (can only occur at stoppages)
U16/U17/U19 (11v11):
Match Duration: 2 x 45-minute halves
Halftime: 15 minutes
Format: 11 players per side, including the goalkeeper
Substitutions: Typically 3–5 (can only occur at stoppages)

Field Size:
U9/U10 (7v7): 40–50 meters long, 25–35 meters wide
U10/U11/U12 (9v9): 60–70 meters long, 40–50 meters wide
U12/U13/U14/U15 (11v11): 90–110 meters long, 55–75 meters wide
U16/U17/U19 (11v11): 90–120 meters long, 60–90 meters wide
Goal Size:
U9/U10 (7v7): 2.44 meters (8 feet) high by 5.5 meters (18 feet) wide
U10/U11/U12 (9v9): 2.44 meters (8 feet) high by 7.32 meters (24 feet) wide
U12/U13/U14/U15 (11v11): 2.44 meters (8 feet) high by 7.32 meters (24 feet) wide
U16/U17/U19 (11v11): 2.44 meters (8 feet) high by 7.32 meters (24 feet) wide
Age Groups & Divisions
DXYCL tournaments are open to both boys’ and girls’ teams in the following formats:
7v7: Ages U8–U10
9v9: Ages U11–U12
11v11: Ages U13 and older
Divisions are organized by age and skill level to ensure fair, balanced, and competitive play across all brackets.
Registration & Pricing
Our pricing structure is transparent and competitive:
7v7 (U8–U10): $400–$500 per team
9v9 (U11–U12): $500–$600 per team
11v11 (U13+): $600–$700 per team
Teams can take advantage of early registration discounts and referral bonuses to reduce costs while encouraging club growth. Registration is completed online and spots are limited—early sign-up is recommended.

Rules & Guidelines
All DXYCL events follow the US Youth Soccer rules and regulations, adapted for each age group.
